THE BEAUTIFUL MEME - UNION JACK REDESIGN

I found presenting my ideas to Ben and Martin wasn't as bad as I expected, they liked quite a few of my ideas and also like the concept I had gone with. The union jack is a really tough brief to tackle as their are so many people to please that its almost impossible to suit everyone's needs. But I feel like I have done a good job for my concept. My idea was to re-brand the UK with positive connotations and try and create a modern equal forward thinking UK which represent unity and togetherness.

Crit Feedback

One of the things they mentioned was the colour scheme, they suggested I should go away and work in mono tone as the flag cant rely on colour to represent meaning, as the colours could have various meanings from different points of view. By working in monotone It will help to create a strong visual identity which is iconic and can work in 1 colour. They chose 4 designs I need to go away and progress with for the final submission and choose one flag overall. They liked the imagery I had used for the majority of the flags except the ones which were too much like the ban the bomb sign, they suggested this was not the route to go down. They also thought that some of the imagery I used did not represent what I had perceived, and was a bit too abstract.
